Beware of study abroad scams

More and more students are opting to go abroad for their higher education. However, the procedure is not really common knowledge yet and fraud student agents prey on the vulnerable.

Study abroad programs in universities across the world are gaining momentum as more and more students yearn to add a multi-cultural dimension to their degrees.

However, many of these young people lack the exposure that some may have gained from overseas vacations, foreign-educated family members, and watching one’s school or college seniors go through the application process to study in another country. Many young Indians live in cities where there is no Education USA, British Council, Campus France, or other official government information channels about studying abroad. These students are possibly the most prone to fraud.

If you are applying to study abroad with the help of a counsellor or agent, make sure he or she is genuine and competent. In any case, you must do your own research on what to study, where to study, and how to apply. Consult others, but steer your own application process and arrive at your own decisions.

Of course, an education like this costs big bucks, which automatically makes it an arena populated by scamsters and fraudulent practices. So, if you are keen on enrolling with a foreign university, proceed with caution every step of the way.

No agent will tell you that he or she is a fraud – you will have to figure it out on your own. It helps to be aware of the tell-tale signs. Not surprisingly, unscrupulous as well as bogus colleges and universities have leapt onto this gravy train, routinely defrauding students who enrol with them.

He does one of two things to prevent you from gaining a clear understanding of the application process. Either he discusses minute and inane details at great length in an attempt to undermine your confidence and increase your dependence on him, or he tells you to just leave everything to him.

An agent who takes your money and treats you as a secondary concern in the application process is, well, just taking your money. Quite possibly, he’s also taking money from the colleges he’s plugging, for every student that he recruits for them.

Verify the accreditation of the college

Education consultants advise against applying to private institutions in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as it is difficult to get detailed information about such institutions. They say it is safer to apply to a government-funded public institute. The US is an exception, where old and reputed private universities like Harvard, MIT and Cornell are covered choices. You may also check university credentials with the embassy of the country, or government website, or that of the relevant city council.

Also, watch out if anyone guarantees you a seat from their ‘management quota’ (there is no such thing) for a donation. On this topic, we have an article on a more sinister practice coming soon.

Students from small cities and towns should be especially vigilant as there is usually a dearth of information about foreign universities and the laws governing the overseas admission process, in these centres.

Why empower women to study?

From primary school to university, girls are more disciplined than boys in their school work. They study more and get better grades. Girls consistently outperform boys. And yet, men occupy the 95% of the most important positions in the largest public companies. People think that girls should stay at home as mothers to help their families and nothing else. This mentality is completely false and, since the education of girls can lead to a massive revolution in society, the lack of education of women weakening the powerful part of society. Education helps an individual become smarter, learn new things and know the facts. In the whole world Girls’ education should be a necessity for the overall development of the country, as women play a vital role in the overall process of the country.

What would happen if these same habits that drive girls to the top of the class, their hyperconsciousness about school work, also held them back in the job market?

We can also encourage girls to take a different approach to school, one that focuses more on the economy of effort than on the number of hours they spend. It’s time to put pressure on them to become tactics, to discover how to continue learning and to get the same qualifications by doing a little less.

We can tell girls that it is normal and healthy to feel some anxiety about school. Too often, girls are impatient, even if they are anxious. They therefore resort to excessive studies to feel comfortable. We can remind you that being a little nervous about school work only means that you care what they should of course do.

Educate the girl refers to all aspects of education that aim to develop the skills and knowledge of girls and women. When a girl is protected by her rights, society is assured of her sustainability. Recognizing the importance of education, governments, be they non-governmental, have launched several projects to strengthen girls’ education.

It is thought that girls’ education in India is not as important as they grow up to eventually become stay-at-home mothers. Due to the regressive nature of Indian society, the development of girls’ education has been considerably hampered. The majority of the Indian population is rural and the mentality that

Most of these people with whom they are growing up make it difficult enough to educate these people about the benefits of girls’ education.

Everyone deserves to be able to work for a fair and equitable wage. to support themselves and their families. Of course, it is equally valuable and admirable to stay at home and take care of the family, but this should be an option.

For many women who experience unsafe and unhappy marriages, leaving is not an option because they do not have the skills or education to find a job and generate income. For these women, living in an unhappy or abusive relationship seems better than living on the street to ask for money.

So better is to educate your child irrespective of the gender.

Gender Bias At workplace

This farcical evidence states that the reason that women were restricted to the domestic sphere we child rearing. It started off as a convention for the men to went and protect while the women took care of the young and the household. This concept then evolved into one of suppression and oppression. A system based on mutually beneficial tasks took the form of insidious monster patriarchy.

Patriarchy is the form of a society dominated by the views of the men. Today it is seen in the domestic and public spheres in the form of male chauvinism. A complete society skewed for the benefit of a certain gender is terrifying. However, for the past century, this disparity is being fought against through suffrage movements by women fighting for their right to work live and exist the way they want to and not because they were dictated to do so.

The latest endeavour towards the same goal has been the recently trending # Balance for better. A hashtag a social media movement which focuses is on demanding equality and equity at the workplace. It for cusses on several as pacts of equality-salary efficiency quality of work etc. It uses social media as a tool of awareness where experience. Ranging from salary disparity to harassment at work from the quality of work given to the disparity it the promotions given to the male and female workers; this hashtag has unearthed some harsh realities of the society.

The cause for this hashtag to gain fame comes from the need for expression of this male bias that exists at the workplace and the daily struggle that needs to be faced by the women. This hashtag gave the women a platform to express their problems and empowered them by creating a community of like minds individuals.

The support came from both men and women who saw and understood the same facetious of such bias at work. An unhappy and distress employer is a cause of concern which has been addressed through this concept. Emerging as a focus of the women’s day’ 19 a day for empowerment and equality for women, # Balance for better accomplished a part of its goal of creating a community of men and women who support. The cause and generating awareness that the struggles for equality have still not subsided.

Equality of the sexes feminism has been the target of the same. A demand a plea a hope for a better future where both man and woman are able to exist in a semblance of equal opportunities. This new endeavour of the people is for the people is for the people for a better life for a more equal world demanding the right for women to be an integral part of the world whose voice is heard and understood the creation of a world where the word feminist doesn’t wake derision and mockery but a deep-seated need for equality and justice. And it is a high him that it did.
